‘Dark Night of the Soul’ is an oil painting inspired by the difficult but transformative process. A long period of grief or some other devastating loss can trigger a search for spiritual answers. It leads us to look at the brutal truth of ourselves and open us up to overwhelming feelings of remorse for a lifetime in rebellion to God. We become broken to prepare for being rebuilt. In our darkest hour, the light of the Holy Spirit is revealed and provides healing and comfort during this painful time, helping us to emerge with a renewed mind and spirit.
