Poem – The Return
If Jesus returned to Earth tomorrow,
Would your heart rejoice or be full of sorrow?
Will you belong to the King of kings,
For when He gathers us under His wings?
Moral decline is accelerating,
And the culture of “self” is elevating.
Recognition of evil and good;
Is lost in a sea of increasing falsehood.
The world is a ship of meaningless distractions.
Don’t seek your saviour, here’s flashing attractions!
How long till the ice berg is struck in the dark?
Jump ship now onto Jesus’s ark.
The heart of God is for us to be saved
No matter how bad we think we’ve behaved.
He knows the sins we’ve said and done,
And is ready to forgive every single one.
Jesus paid the heaviest price
Offering Himself as a sacrifice
He took our place out of great love
To redeem us all for heaven above.
The choice is ours at the end of the day;
Faith in God or continue to stray.
The flashing things of this world will end.
I choose Jesus, my eternal best friend.
